Chapter 4 Test

We took the Chapter 4 Test.  It was open book.

Chapter 4 Review

We went through Chapter 4 and went over the review.  The Chapter 4 test is tomorrow.

Chapter 4

We began reading chapter 4 but missed much of class due to sports pictures.

Magnificat Recital

Today was the final day for students to recite the Magnificat.  Every student completed the prayer by the due date!

We continued with the Magnificat.  We now have 13 students who have successfully recited the prayer in front of the class.  It is due by Monday.

We continued practicing the Magnificat.  8 students recited the prayer in front of the class correctly today, even though it is not due till Monday.  Students are strongly suggested to try and recite the prayer in class tomorrow.

We continued practicing the Magnificat.  Two students have already memorized it.  Students will have opportunities to recite it in front of the class over the next 3 days.  Monday is the final day before students start losing points.

Mass Practice

We went to the church and practiced our readings for tomorrow's mass.  We then continued practicing the Magnificat prayer.

We assigned roles for Friday's mass, as we are in charge this week.  We then began to work on memorizing The Magnificat prayer, as it is required in 7th grade.  Students were "encouraged" to have the first 3 lines memorized by tomorrow.

Unit 1 Test

Students took the unit 1 test.  There is no homework.

Unit 1 Review

We went over the unit 1 review.  It was the first 3 chapters of the book.  There will be an open book, open note test tomorrow on unit 1.

Questions for Monsignor Heinz

After an extended layoff from Religion class due to Iowa testing, we are back.  We started today by discussing any questions we have about what we have learned so far in class and any questions we have in general about the Catholic faith.  Each student came up with their own question and presented it to the class.  We then selected a few to put in the question box for Monsignor Heinz.

Also, students began working on the unit 1 review.  It is due tomorrow in class at 8:50.  The Unit 1 Test will be Thursday.
