The Magnificat

Students worked on memorizing The Magnifcat prayer.  The prayer is below:

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,

my spirit rejoices in God my savior;

for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant.

From this day all generations will call me blessed:

the Almighty has done great things for me,

and holy is his name.

He has mercy on those who fear him in every generation.

He has shown the strength of his arm,

he has scattered the proud in their conceit.

He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,

and has lifted up the lowly.

He has filled the hungry with good things,

and the rich he has sent away empty.

He has come to the help of his servant Israel

for he has remembered his promise of mercy,

the promise he made to our fathers,

to Abraham and his children for ever.

Chapter 6 Test

Students took the chapter 6 test.  It was open book.

Chapter 6

Students finished reading chapter 6 and were assigned pages 21-24 in their activity books.

6-1 and 6-2

We began reading and discussing chapter 6 which is on the prophets.  There is no homework over the weekend.

Chapter 5 Test

Students took the chapter 5 test on Moses and the Ten Commandments.

5-3 and 5-4

We finished chapter 5.  Pages 19-20 from the activity book were assigned and are due tomorrow.  The Chapter 5 test will be Thursday.  What will be on the test was discussed in class.

5-1 and 5-2

We began reading and discussing chapter 5 which is on Moses.  Pages 17 and 18 from the activity book were assigned.

Unit 1 Test

Students took the Unit 1 test on Chapters 1-4.  It was open book and if students didn't finish it is due Monday.

Chapter 4 Test

Students took the chapter 4 test.

4-3 and 4-4

We finished chapter 4 and pages 15 and 16 were assigned from the activity book.  They are due tomorrow and the chapter 4 test is Thursday.

4-1 and 4-2

We read through the beginning of chapter 4 and pages 13 and 14 were assigned from the activity book and are due tomorrow.

Chapter 3 Test

Students took the chapter 3 test.  It was open book.

Iowa Testing

There was no class today due to Iowa Testing.  We have finished Iowa Testing and will be getting back to our regular schedule.
