The Magnificat

Students worked on memorizing The Magnifcat prayer.  Students need to be able to recite the prayer by Friday of nest week.  The prayer is below:

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,

my spirit rejoices in God my savior;

for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant.

From this day all generations will call me blessed:

the Almighty has done great things for me,

and holy is his name.

He has mercy on those who fear him in every generation.

He has shown the strength of his arm,

he has scattered the proud in their conceit.

He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,

and has lifted up the lowly.

He has filled the hungry with good things,

and the rich he has sent away empty.

He has come for the help of his servant Israel

for he has remembered his promise of mercy,

the promise he made to our fathers,

to Abraham and his children for ever.

Magnificat

Students began memorizing the prayer The Magnificat.  It is due Monday of next week at the earliest.

Chapter 8 Test

We went over the review and then students took the Chapter 8 Test.  It was open book.

We finished chapter 8 in the book and the review was assigned.  It is due tomorrow.

Quiz

Students took the quiz from Father Edward.

Birth of Jesus Review

We reviewed the birth of Jesus to prepare for Father Edward's quiz tomorrow.

Chapter 8

We began reading and discussing chapter 8.

Father

Father Edward came to class today.  Next Tuesday will be a quiz on what he has taught over his last few visits.

Chapter 7 Test

We went over the chapter 7 review and then students took the chapter 7 test.  It was open book.

No Class

We did not have religion class because we had the double block of religion yesterday.

We read and discussed chapter 7 in our books and the chapter 7 review was assigned.  It is due tomorrow.
